There’s a new bidding auction site in the Philippines that’s been getting a lot of buzz lately. It’s Pisobid. I was intrigued by it because of the amounts the bids were ending. Check it out…
Imagine, the auction ended at PHP7.51 while the cost of the ipad 2 is like PHP29,000? There’s something wrong I thought. Later on I found out what the catch is. You actually pay for bids. Once you pay for bids which costs anywhere from PHP6 to a bid to PHP30 to a bid (depending on the bid pack you buy) you can start bidding on products auctioned. Each bid raises the product “price” by PHP0.01. So that’s how it works. Moreoever, it’s not like ebay where there’s a set time. It’s more like auction houses wherein as long as somebody is bidding, it won’t end and whoever bids the last, wins.
So the game is being the last bidder, and monitoring your bids. Each bid you do will cost you at least PHP6. So 100 bids would cost you PHP600 but if you win a PHP1000 worth of product, you’re still ahead.
So for that Ipad 2 auction which ended up at PHP7.51, if let’s say I bid 500 times to be the last bidder, that cost me 500×6 or about PHP3,000. Not bad if I’ll win an ipad 2 worth PHP29,000. Definitely something to think about. The catch though is if I bid 500 times already and I wasn’t the last bidder, I just lost PHP3k.
The good part is, once you register you get 5 free bids. Check it out, try it, and there’s nothing to lose. Register here.

I had an HP 1350 PSC and we were about to have it converted to a continuous ink system which costs PHP3,500. However, the ink shop has one of those bundled products where you get a printer and a CIS INK system combined. There’s a package that costs PHP4,000 and it consists of a brand new Epson Stylus T13 printer + CIS.
In other words, I just added an additional PHP500 and I got a new printer. Nice deal. I do had problems with finding a driver though. My desktop uses vista 64 bit so the driver included in the CD didn’t work. Epson.com doesn’t have a driver for this but eventually I found one.
I tried printing on a Photopaper. It’s a very inexpensive printer so I don’t expect at lot from it when it comes to printing photos. I can still see some individual pixels but it’s good enough for an everyday, non-professional printing.
Update: I think the reason I’m seeing individual pixels is that the printer setup wasn’t set to best printing. I was able to set it to print the best quality and the resulting photos printed looks great. Not bad for a 4k bundle

One of the best tools I use to manage passwords is “LastPass”. With this tool, I was able to generate very good and secure passwords without really memorizing each one. I just have to login with my lastpass account once and it automatically supplies all my passwords to my gmail, my blog, and whatever accounts I have.
Suddenly, today, lastpass wasn’t filling up my login username/password fields so I wonder what’s wrong. I even rebooted my PC but then, still the same. Doing searches in google does not provide any answers also. I then turn to twitter search and found out that other people are also having problems.
Just imagine, I can’t login to gmail or to any of my accounts. Gee, that’s bad. As a work around, I just went to lastpass.com and login there to “view” my passwords.
I guess that’s one of the problems of having a password manager. I just hope they’ll fix it soon as a lot of people are using their services.

Upon logging in to gmail this morning, I was notified by google about this new app they have called Google Buzz. I was kinda intrigued so I added it and played with it for a while.
First impression, it’s just like twitter, only more media friendly.
It has also some similarities to facebook since you can “like” a buzz or comment a buzz.
Will the new microblogging player succeed? So far, it’s still early to tell how people would react. I’ve seen some comments like its another time waster and another comment like praising the new app.
I think well be seeing more support apps that ties to google buzz api soon.

I love the movie Pursuit of Happiness done by Will Smith, what I didn’t know is that he himself (not the character) knows the secret of success. I’ve read a lot of self help books before and I think Will Smith read the same stuff.
If you really wanted to succeed, then watch this 9 or so minutes of pure wisdom from Will Smith.
“Greatness exists in all of us”
“There’s no shortcut to success”
“Talent vs Skill”
If you like this, share it with others, Tweet it, digg it, bookmarkt it, share it on facebook.

I’m currently collaborating with the owners of SkinnyMoose blog network to provide free blogs to blogspot/wordpress owners who blogs about topics under the Entertainment niche. So if you blog about a TV series, an actor/actress, movies, or anything under the Entertainment niche, you are qualified.
So what differentiates having a free blog from Skinnymoose as against free blogs from blogspot/wordpress or any of those free blog sites?
Well, it is about becoming a part of team or group and gain knowledge, friends to fraternize with. It is really fun to become a part of a group of like minded people who share the same passion and loves the same topics.
But apart from that, here’s a small list of Why it is best to be a part of our Skinnymoose Entertainment Niche.
1. When you have a blog in one of those free blogs, you operate alone.
In Skinnymoose entertainment, you will be part of a group of like minded bloggers blogging about topics on the same niche.
You might be blogging about a certain celebrity while another one is blogging about a different celebrity but both are operating on the same niche which is celebrity/entertainment.
2. Cross promoting increases your blog visitors
In skinnymoose entertainment, bloggers are encouraged to cross promote one another and therefore, any new blog will instantly gain visitors. Achieving higher traffic has never been easier.
In addtion, there is a group of people you can immediately fraternize with. Gain new friends who share the same passion and interests as you.
3. We help design the blogs and take care of all technical stuff like upgrading, plugins, webhosting. It is still FREE like blogspot/wordpress. It does not cost a single cent to be a part of skinnymoose.
Too many blogspot/wordpress free blogs look the same. Skinnymoose entertainment blog network can get you out of those “same look and fee” problem you have.
4. As the network grows, your recognition as a blogger grows. As blogspot/wordpress grows, your recognition does not grow.
5. You can also earn using affiliate marketing. You can include your affiliate links in your blog posts. If you do not know what affiliate marketing is, don’t worry, I will personally teach you everything you need to know about it.
6. We promote the blogs and bloggers and optimize each blogs. When you operate your own blogspot/wordpress blogs, you do it alone. If you are a part of our group, other people are also promoting your blog.
You get to be more visible, and gain more visitors.
7. You get to learn. We provide lots of blogging tips, we research about what people are searching for and share these “keywords/topics” to you so you gain a competitive advantage over other blogs outside out blog network.
Other blogging courses/blog mastermind education costs tons of money. Sure, you’ll learn a lot from those courses but why pay for all those when you can get the same kind of information for free by becomming a blogger for skinny entertainment?
