Bakit mas magaling ang Filipino language kaysa sa English.

I’m currently helping my son review for the finals and one topic is the use of “Ride on vs Ride in”

Eto pala rules

Ride in / Rode in – small vehicles

Example:

We will ride in a car tomorrow
We rode in a car yesterday

Ride on/ Rode on – big vehicles

Used for trucks, bus, ship, train, airplane

Example:

Mommy will ride on a plane next month.
Mommy rode on a plane last month.

Ride on / Rode on – public vehicles

Used for taxi, jeepney, bus

He will ride on a taxi tomorrow.
He rode on a taxi yesterday.

Ride on / Rode on – 2 wheeled vehicle and animals

He will ride on a bicycle.
He rode on top of a cow.

Diba ang daming rules?

Compare natin sa wika natin.

Filipino Language rules

Simple lang, use either “sasakay” or “sumakay” depending if it’s past or not.

I currently have PLDT Mydsl residential connection. I have a PHP1,995 plan and I’ve been a subscriber for close to 2 years already. During that time, there have been a couple of pldt mydsl promos and some new subscription plans.

One of those plans is the PLDT Mydsl xCITE. The cost is PHP1,995 and the speed is 1.2Mbps. The guys subscribing to this new plan have been paying the same amount as I am but I’m getting a slower connection.

My download speeds before was just around 60kbps. I’m expecing about 100kpbs if my connection was at 1.2Mbps. So I just emailed PLDT customer service to ask about an increase of bandwidth. This was about 2-3 months ago.

I checked my DSL modem today and here’s a snapshot of it.

I also checked checked my DSL speed using PLDT Mydsl speed test and I got a speed of 1004.4kpbs (just now).

I used to get around 600kbps only. I’ld like to assume that my connection now is 1.2Mbps but I’m wondering why the reserved Bandwith downlink shows only 7616 kbps?

Any tech guys out there who can answer this? How can one check the exact bandwidth speed of a DSL connection?

I got an email just a few days ago from Michael of Basang Panaginip informing me about his post on Top Pinoy Probloggers. Wow! I’m surprised I’m there together with some of the most respected people in the Philippine blogging community.

It really is a nice way to meet new people, develop relationships, and build your network. I strongly believe that the larger your network of acquaintances, the bigger your resource pool. You need a contact from media, tap into this pool. Need someone from this or that industry, tap into your network of acquaintances and most probably you’ll find somebody there.

The good news about the problogging industry, is that there will be a lot more Filipinos who will go into Pro-Blogging. The current list is just temporary. Hopefully we’ll see a lot more pinoys in the list over the next couple of months.

RAMON Sales, chairman of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), has said the agency will deal with the .ph domain issue soon.

Sales revealed plans to “mirror the .ph domain” in collaboration with the government’s Advanced Science and Technology Institute (ASTI).

Well I hope with this move, we can get .ph domains at a cheaper price.
